Shelley-Port-Soft-Glow-Desa>so now you have seen my ugly face, let me tell you a bit about me.

Born in the late 70’s and raised in Missouri and North Carolina, I did not find photography until i was 21 or so.  I had broken my film point and shoot camera and then purchased a Minolta Film SLR.  I think it was the Minolta Xsi.  An entry level piece.  After messing up plenty of film, and thinking i should get better at photography, I read a few books, took a nature photography course through Wake Tech, and worked with several wonderful photographers through out Cary  and Raleigh NC.  After that i attended the photography dept at the School of Hard Knocks.

Now i have spent the last ten years working on my craft, working in the  photo Industry with Wolf Camera and Now Peace Camera.   I feel very comfortable shooting any subject on location or in my studio.  While at  Peace Camera several opportunities have opened up for me.  I have ventured out in to Photography Tutoring which grew in to starting a Photography Work Shop series.

Working with people and helping them discover what more they can do with their cameras has been very rewarding.  I enjoy seeing the light in their eyes get brighter when a topic clicks in their minds.  It really is quite enjoyable.
